Counseling Home

Welcome to the Otto Shortell Middle School Counseling Office

The Counseling Office is here to support both students and their parents/guardians. Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact our office if there are concerns about the child's academic progress or emotional/mental/physical well-being. Parent/teacher conferences are also set up through our office.

Students are encouraged to see their counselors if they have school concerns such as scheduling, academic achievement, or classroom related problems. Also, the counselors see students for a host of personal issues, including peer pressure, relationships, self-esteem, grief, and transitions. If you sense your child is having trouble, call or email the counselor.
